The Wollongong Conservatorium has been a hot spot for jazz education since 2001. Under the direction of San Fransciscan professional trumpet player Eric Dunan, the program has seen a significant number of former students go on to become some Australia’s most respected jazz artists.
This performance will see former students return to perform high energy contemporary big band music alongside the next generation of jazz stars.
The Wollongong Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra is the award-winning flagship ensemble of The Conservatorium’s jazz program. The band has toured internationally and performed with celebrated Australian jazz artists including Sandy Evans, James Morrison, and James Greening.
